Stewarding is one of easiest job to get. But why many failed?
In the first place, being a front line staff, one has to be considerate and street smart. I am saying this because you may be very good looking and a graduate with a good degree, speaks well and yet still keep failing the cabin crew interview.
Then you look around and find that someone else who does not speak as well as you, may not be a good looker and yet passed the interview easily. Then you scream " unfair!!!".
Let me tell you that the interviewers were not being unfair to you. You simply don't have what it takes to be a flight attendant. The other person has that X factor they are looking for.
To begin with, this being a people oriented job you must the ability to empathise with other people. It's not about "me,me,me" all the time. It's about "you, you you" all the time. It's you before me sort of attitude. I care for you no matter what the circumstances may be.
So my question to you is: Did you care about the interviewers? Did you put yourself in their shoes, conducting interviews week in week out? No isn't it? You probably care about you getting the job and nothing else.
Okay the above is just a small tip or hint but it goes a long way to help you to be "likable". How you show the interviewers you empathise with their position is all up to you. You will have to think of a way of showing you care for others. If you are creative enough, you would probably pass the first of the many hurdles.
